Jora Kuner
Jora is a lawyer, and the founder of Kuner Law.
He obtained his Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Political Science (BA, Hons.) at York University. He then earned his Juris Doctor (JD) at Bond University in Australia, and subsequently received his National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) Certificate to practice law in Canada. He also earned his Certificate in Dispute Resolution at York University. He was then called to the bar of the Law Society of Ontario.
Jora worked in many industries, all over Ontario, before being entering the honourable profession of law, including sales, food service and manufacturing. These experiences helped make him a more well-rounded person and lawyer.
He also has vast experience representing clients from all walks of life. He's worked with presidents of multinational corporations, and peoples of various First Nations. He's represented Stanley Cup and Grey Cup winners, and people living with HIV and AIDS. He's advocated for those who have served in the Canadian Armed Forces, and unhoused individuals. Outstanding service is Jora's top priority, regardless of his clients' social or financial standing.
In fact, Jora became a lawyer simply because he wanted to help people. During his first few years of practice, though, he realized, to his dismay, that too many people can't afford legal representation. This immediately puts them at a disadvantage, in the legal system and beyond.
That's why Jora established Kuner Law. He wanted to ensure that everyone has access to lawyers and professional staff that actually care. He also wanted to ensure that Kuner Law would always be a community-based law firm, offering affordable rates, payment plans, and after-hours meetings, for those that truly need it. That way, nobody in any of Ontario's beautiful and diverse communities would be left behind.
